Our Training Manual and Regime has been endorsed by Snow Sports Wales who are the governing body of Snow Sports in Wales.
A SSW accredited qualification is obtainable after necessary training. The only stipulation is you must be an up to date qualified and accredited ski instructor. This is possible in all disciplines.
Our Manual lists some common disabilities together with some outline advice and has a series of “Pocket Guides” on the specialised equipment and techniques that are used.
Training is on a modular basis. A technique is introduced through a training regime and then practiced under supervision for each discipline available within the Club.
Generally training is held on our dry ski slopes either in evenings or sometimes over a weekend. It gives the participant the opportunity to practice new skiing skills which will strengthen their own skiing ability.
A volunteer can train to be a Helper on the slope or a Disabled Ski Instructor depending on their degree of commitment.
